Hot Texas summers are hard on windshield wiper blades. The heat and UV radiation really degrade the blade’s elastic material to the point that they need to be changed at least once per year.
At $15-20 per blade for premium wipers, this is an annoying expense. High-quality wiper blades like Bosch Icon or PIAA silicone are preferred because they perform better are more durable.
Found these Aero brand wipers on Amazon for only $17.75 per pair. Note that the Aero web site vehicle finder does not pull up any Volvo 850 recommendations but their generic 21″ pair fits and works well in my experience, so that must be an oversight on their part.
The Amazon item lists it as Aero-21-21. Box is marked J-21/21.
Amazon also shows that these doesn’t fit the Volvo 850 but in fact they do. Amazon indicates OEM quality but in the description they describe premium features. (?)
Volvo 850 wiper blades are somewhat unique in that both left and right are the same size–21 inches or 525mm.
These look and fit exactly like Bosch blades. (more…)
